The IRS is an employer committed to implementing a family-conscious Human Resources policy and is considerate of employees' personal circumstances. The institute helps its employees better balance work and family life.
Against this backdrop, the institute issued a target agreement in August 2015 comprising goals and measures to further improve the compatibility of work and family life at the IRS. On August 31st 2015, the institute was awarded the “audit berufundfamilie” certificate. It was presented to the IRS director and Kathrin Westphal, who headed the project, by the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Iris Gleicke in June 2016.
