Judith Lange
Research Associate | Economy and Civil Society

Judith Lange has been a research associate in the research area “Economy and Civil Society” since April 2025 and is developing a dissertation project as part of the DFG-funded Emmy Noether Junior Research Group “Borders and Memory”. She also works at the Department of Spatial Transformation and Social Research at the Brandenburg University of Technology.

She graduated in Cultural Geography (M.A.) at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg with a thesis on the material and discursive embedding of planetary boundaries and geographies of outer space. Judith Lange completed a bachelor's degree in International Cultural and Business Studies with a thesis on cultural and social borders within marginalized regions in political upheaval. She gained experience abroad at Edinburgh Napier University and Université Paris-Est Créteil.

In inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations, Judith Lange also developed various workshops, exhibitions as well as transfer projects, and gained valuable experience in science communications as Hochschulwettbewerb-Alumna.
