Apply for your own research project with support from the IRS

Do you consider applying for your own postdoctoral research project? We welcome scholars whose projects enrich the research we conduct in the three IRS Research Areas Economy and Civil Society, Politics and Planning, and Contemporary History and Archive. As your host institution, we will support you in developing a strong and competitive proposal for programmes such as

Fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The IRS offers an excellent research environment and opportunities for inter- as well as transdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to supervision and mentoring, administrative support will be provided throughout your project.

We also offer opportunities to further your project idea or proposal during a stay at the IRS.
