Valentin David Mühlich
Since March 2025, Valentin Mühlich has been a research assistant in the "Creativity and Work" Research Group in the Economics and Civil Society Research Area. Valentin Mühlich studied urban design at Technische Universität Berlin, where he wrote his master's thesis on resilient urban structures through economies for the common good, with a special focus on "Regime and Space in the Struggle for Environmental Protection in Lusatia." Before his master's degree, he worked at the intersection of sociology and urban planning during a semester abroad in Colombia, where he participated in a design project on the "resocialisation" of prisoners in connection with the revitalisation of a neighbourhood in Bogotá through community-based urban agriculture. He plans to develop his dissertation project as part of the future flagship project research of the Research Area. The project, which will run from January 2026, will focus on the transformative potential of "sharing."
