Hanna Mamzer (PhD.) is lecturer at the Institute for Sociology at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. She received her MA degree in Psychology in 1998 and defended her PhD thesis in Sociology in 2001. She lectures in Poland, but also in Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America and the United States. Among other things Hanna Mamzer received a research fellowship of the Central European University (2001 Budapest, Hungary), a Fulbright Scholarship (2005 Rutgers University, NJ, USA), a British Council Scholarship (2006 Clare Hall Cambridge, UK and a fellowship of the European University Institute (2007 Florence, Italy).
Her main research fields are the sociology of culture and the sociology of media. In particular, she focuses on issues of identity, multiculturalism, and cross-cultural communication. In her empirical research she prefers quantitative methodology rooted in constructivism.
