Anna Geppert (1966) is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University Paris-Sorbonne. Graduate from Université de Paris IV-Sorbonne, she worked as a planner for the municipality of Amiens (France, 1990-91) before returning to academic research with a PhD on urban systems and inter-cities collaborative networks (1996). She has worked as Associate Professor at the University of Reims (1996-2009).
Since 2009, Anna Geppert is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
From 2007 to 2011, she has been Secretary General of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) where she has launched the journal „Planning Education”. She acts as an expert for the French agency of evaluation for higher education and research (AERES) and for the national council of universities (CNU).
She works with a large network of universities in several EU member states, e. g. Poland, where she also has a teaching assignment at Warsaw University of Technology. Anna Geppert is member of the board of planning journals such as “Territoires en movement”, “European Spatial Research and Policy”, and “Megaron”.
