Academic Event Series

The concept and implementation of academic events at the IRS are closely linked to the research planning and publication strategy within the projects. In addition to hosting conferences, workshops, colloquia, and sessions at international conferences, the IRS developed a series of academic events. These include the lecture formats “IRS International Lecture on Society and Space” and “IRS Seminar” as well as the three-part “IRS Spring Academy: Investigating Space(s)”. The discussion of current research results with colleagues is also an essential focus of the “Workshop Series on the History of Building and Planning in the German Democratic Republic (GDR)”.
