Lea Molina Caminero has been a research associate in the research area "Economy and Civil Society" at the IRS since May 2022. As part of the lead project "Post-Office", she is researching spatio-temporal transformation processes in knowledge-generating forms of cooperation.

Previously, she worked as a research assistant at vhw - Bundesverband für Wohnen und Stadtentwicklung e.V. (Federal Association for Housing and Urban Development) and at the Institute for Geographical Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. She obtained her Master of Arts in Social Geography at the University of Osnabrück in 2020. As part of her thesis, she completed a research internship at the Institute of Geography at the University of Lisbon. There, she investigated the interplay of lifestyle-related migration and new forms of working, as well as associated socio-spatial negotiation and transformation processes within the city of Lisbon.

Lea Molina Caminero is a member of the Feminist Geographies Working Group and the IMISCOE research cluster "Privileged Mobilities: local impacts, belonging and citizenship".

Post-Office - Spatio-temporal Transformation Processes in Knowledge-generating Forms of Cooperation

The lead project of the research focus "Economy and Civil Society" addresses profound transformation processes in knowledge and innovation societies, which in turn are characterised by disruptive events. The lead project "Post-Office" aims to understand the dynamics of change in knowledge-generating cooperation with its disruptive elements and to discuss resulting consequences for urban and rural regions. more info
