Video-Channel

Sowohl als klassisch journalistisches Medium in der Tradition der Dokumentarfilme und Wissensmagazine im Fernsehen, als auch als Mittel und Weg des Austausches innerhalb der wissenschaftlichen Community sind Videos zu einem ergänzenden, aber einflussreichen Kommunikationskanal geworden. Das IRS ist über seinen youtube-Channel in diesem Feld aktiv und ergänzt seine Kommunikation mit Wort und Bild durch Kurz-Filme sowie um Mitschnitte von Vorträgen und Konferenzen. Der Channel wird stetig erweitert.

Opening of RGCS new chapter in Berlin. This new group is coordinated by Suntje Schmidt (Professor at IRS, Humboldt University), Bastian Lange (Consultant at Multiplicities), Rose-Marie Oger (community manager at Fab Lab Berlin), Serge Bolidum (CEO of McErnest) and François-Xavier de Vaujany (Professor at Université Paris-Dauphine & President of RGCS) . #collday2017 has been organized with the precious help of Aurore Dandoy, Albane Grandazzi, Stéphanie Fargeot and Victor Maestlé. The Research Group on Collaborative Spaces (RGCS) is a network of scholars & think tank focused on collaborative spaces (co-workers, makers, hackers and fabbers) and how they transform or make visible new work practices.

France 2 reports on POCACITO field trip

The France 2 French national TV has filmed the visit of the POCACITO project team to Loos-en-Gohelle in October 2016, in the framework of a 30 minutes report on the stunning energy transition going on in this former mining town in the North of France.

Dr. Harald Engler vom IRS in Erkner kennt sich aus: Seit 2007 arbeitet als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Bereich der Wissenschaftlichen Sammlungen für Bau- und Planungsgeschichte der DDR. Ganz nebenbei bearbeitet er gewaltiges Archiv zur Baugeschichte der DDR-Moderne.

Lecture by Professor Sophie Watson (Open University) at the IRS Panel Discussion "Urban Transformation, Regeneration and Migration in Comparative Perspective", held on December 16, 2016. Sophie Watson is Professor of Sociology at the Open University and former co-Director of the Centre for Research into Socio-Cultural Change.

Keynote Lecture "Migration and Environmental Change: Linking Theory and Empirical Research to Regional Transformations" by Lori M. Hunter (University of Colorado at Boulder). The Lecture has been a part of the International Conference "Migration and Environmental Change" on December 8 - 9, 2016 in Berlin.
